Dr. Robert Shorr, Ph.D.

Dr. Robert G. Shorr is a scientist and entrepreneur and has published more than 150 technical articles. Dr. Shorr is also the CEO for Cornerstone Pharmaceuticals - a partnership for biotechnology development with State University of New York. Dr. Shorr is a highly respected member of biotechnology and pharmaceutical science community, having participated in the financing, business growth and development of multiple companies. His expertise varies from technological innovation to strategic planning and implementation of research and business development, to the founding, financing and guiding to full commercialization of biotechnology ventures. Dr. Shorr has published more than 100 scientific/technical articles and has more than 100 inventions (issued or patent-pending worldwide), many of them commercialized. He holds a B.Sc. in Biology from State University of Buffalo, a D.I.C., from the University of London - Imperial College of Science and Technology and a Ph.D. from the University of London.

Cornerstone Pharmaceuticals is privately held company located in Cranberry N.J. developing novel anti-cancer drug delivery technology and unique anti-cancer agents for the treatment of diverse cancers. The first drug called Emulsiphan™; a nanoparticle tumor targeting technology is in early human clinical trials.

Dr. Marvell Scott, MD

Dr. Marvell Scott is currently serving as a sports team Doctor at Princeton and Rutgers universities. Previously, in 2001 Dr. Scott joined the ABC News Channel 7 Sports Department in New York City and had been anchoring weekend sports until his recent departure to focus on his medical practice. For his sports reporting, Dr. Scott was able to draw from extensive first-hand experience as a competitive athlete and frequently “attempted” to incorporate his abilities into feature stories. He's matched his skills against the pros in sports venues ranging from basket ball to lacrosse, and at the extreme, has suited up for two full weeks as an Arena Football Player for the New York Dragons while with ABC. As a Manhattan dweller, Marvell has also been at the center of the news after serving as an eye witness following a plane crash involving Yankees Pitcher Corey Lidle in October 2006.

After competing in the Big Ten at the University of Illinois as a running back, Marvell played two seasons as a professional indoor football player in addition to playing semi-pro baseball as a pitcher. He also won a state championship in bodybuilding as a teen. Dr. Scott is also a NY State licensed, nationally board certified medical doctor whose emphasis is preventative care and sports medicine. He is also a nationally accredited exercise and performance expert who designs specialized fitness and wellness programs.
